Brazil has some strong restrictions to abortion but there is no real legal consequences. It is illegal but there is a high number of abortions anyway.
It is only applicable under the circumstances of risk to the woman's life, rape or fetal malformations (Criminal Code, articles 124-128). However, in September 2023, the Federal Supreme Court opened a discussion on its legalization up to week 12
