Abortion is illegal in Cameroon,punishable by law. Abortion is only legal to save the woman’s life, if pregnancy endangers mental or physical health or if the pregnancy is a result of rape.
How and where vigils began
Vigils began in 2015 thanks to the help of GIFI Integrity NGO in Cameroon. A conference was held in Beau in Cameroon. Planned Parenthood has one office in the capital Yaounde.
