Abortion Laws today
The current laws on abortion date back from the communist regime and have not been changed since.

The access to abortion is guaranteed by the Constitution. Abortions can be done without a motive up to 10 weeks of pregnancy, while eugenic abortions can be done up to birth.
How and where vigils began
The first vigil in Subotica was inspired by Croatian leaders visiting Serbia and telling Christians about the spiritual blessings they had experienced in a neighbouring country. People were delighted about the initiative given the high abortion rate and led a superb vigil outside the local hospital.
