Combating Global Lawfare

The glorious overthrow of Roe v Wade by the United States Supreme Court did not end abortion in America - in many ways it drew the battle lines between states that love and protect life, women, family, worship and freedom; and states that enlarge, empower and increase the abortion industry.

It appears that the abortion industry and liberal left governments are using both sword and pen to conduct an unholy war, an un-freedom, anti- women, anti-child, anti-family war against the prayerful, peaceful, lawful efforts of prolifers around America and around the world to protect the rights of the Unborn.

In the wake of the Dobbs decision, overturning Roe (at a cost of some 70,000,000 American babies), we have seen certain governments and abortion industry leaders and organizations across the world conduct “lawfare” against the Prolife movement and the Unborn. Usually this occurs by weaving out of whole cloth new laws, non-laws and absurd interpretations of laws in order to crush the prolife evangelization of the Gospel of Life.

The attacks on the Unborn are legion: Buffer zones where only prolifers cannot stand, pray and speak; mail-order abortion pills with little or no oversight; and threatening the licenses and livelihoods of medical profes- sionals and those that peacefully pray to end abortion, that offer constructive option and that love Life.

Many of these notable injustices are now being broadcast and heard around the world. The stories of great pro-lifers like Mark Houck and Isabel Vaughan-Spruce are not merely told on social media, but are global news.

40 Days for Life is representing Mark and his family by suing the federal government for their unjust arrest of Mark in the wee hours of the morning in front of his wife and young children.
It was a nightmare situation: Some 20 heavily armed law enforcement officers arrived unannounced, just before light and pounded on Mark’s door while his young family slept. Mark was hauled out and shackled at gunpoint. The officers pointed fully auto- matic weapons at his wife and seven young children.

Little or no explanation was given as Mark was shackled to a table in a federal building for hours. And all of this was after the U.S. Department of Justice knew that Mark had lawyers and had offered to peacefully turn himself in if charges were brought.

And the “crimes” that made this ridiculous theater possible: Praying for years in front of abortion facilities and protecting his son from an aggressive and abusive pro-abortion advocate.

The case was so absurd of course that Mark was acquitted of all charges by a jury in an hour after a long trial. Praise be to God.

Mark stood strong, rejected plea agreements to something he did not do. And we are standing strong with Mark, and with you.

Evil thrives when men and women of good will do nothing – and you are all the last positive, constructive, loving hope of every woman seeking an abortion.

Great prolifers and holy men and women in public office, in the churches and on the streets are combating this unethical and abuses of the legal systems.

If we do nothing we will end up with unthinkable laws that resulted in Isabel’s arrest on at least two occasions – simply for silently standing and praying.

Through righteous challenges to the abortion industry’s attempts to crush a religious freedoms and our rights we will keep Hope Alive and continue to Preach the Gospel of Life.

We will not give up. We will not stand down. We are standing up.
