Glasgow campaign starts strong

Thursday, 6 March, 2025 • •

The Glasgow campaign has seen it all in recent years - from snow to media and political controversy!

The Lent 2025 started with viral international media coverage, as another media storm hit as they continue the prayer vigil peacefully and prayerfully outside the second largest hospital in Europe, the Queen Elizabeth II in Glasgow.

Politicians have introduced the most extreme buffer zone law in the world which has been ridiculed on the international media level by JD Vance recently in a speech in Munich. Despite vitriol and persecution, the campaign continues as strong as ever, with prayer warriors focusing on prayer rather than speaking to journalists.

Recently, Rose Docherty became the first person to be arrested under the most extreme buffer zone law in the world in Scotland. This story galvanized considerable international media interest. Ironically, in an attempt to ban pro-life free speech, the Scottish government has given the local Glasgow campaign international media fame multiple times meaning the prayers from this campaign have now affected the conscience of millions of people worldwide.

In addition, viral international media coverage will happen at least two more times (at the trial and court decision) of the arrest, if not more, meaning there will be considerably more national and international scrutiny of the most extreme law in the world on buffer zones to come. Exciting times are ahead as liberal voices have already been heard whinging on the first day of the campaign.
