Kick Off Rally in Kingston, Jamaica: February 2025
26-FEBRUARY • ALL •
The Kickoff Rally for 40 Days for Life Kingston was held on February 22, 2025, at the Covenant City Church in HalwWay Tree, Kingston, Jamaica. Some 40 persons attended this pioneering event, the first in the Caribbean region. It was spirit-filled, spirit-led, powerful, tear-jerking, and inspirational, with a powerful testimony from a woman who decided to keep her baby and give it up for adoption after meeting our team outside the abortion clinic last year.
The praise and worship and time in intercession were powerful and stirring as we joined hearts together that God would release his power to make the darkness of the abortion industry tremble and shatter before us and that the voice of fear that drives women to seek abortion would be silenced.
The Kickoff Rally was orchestrated by Friends for Life, the practical pro-life arm of the Love March Movement. Tariq Gayle the FFl Event Coordinator leads from the front envisioning and executing a pro-life FAQ Garden at the entrance of the church with a large banner complete with pictures from last year’s 40-Day Prayer Vigil, and anchoring the production of 40 Days for Life t-shirts and hats.
Mrs, Christina Milford from the Pregnancy Resource Centre of Jamaica shared the horrors of abortion procedures interspersed with stories of hope, including her own. Ms. Sarah Webster, Vice President of the Love March Movement delved into “40 Days for Life as a Solution” detailing the achievements of 40 Days For Life America, International, and our local success with 21 babies saved so far from abortion since last year’s prayer vigil.
Additionally, Pastor Courtney Bailey from Restoration Family Church gave a powerful charge to value life with Dr. Daniel Thomas closing with a call to action on “Preparation, Consecration and Execution”. It was a powerful and stirring event preparing us to stand for the most vulnerable in our nation, our unborn children.
