Censorship from buffer zones shuts down help including counseling, help with food, rent, legal advice, and any tangible need a mother considering abortion has.
Buffer zone laws make illegal silent prayer and the offer of help where they are most needed. Criminal sanctions should not be threatened against sections of the population just for their opinions or stances. Prosecutions should only be for truly criminal activity backed by clear evidence of crime.
Some buffer zone laws infringe on basic human rights such as freedom of speech, assembly, conscience, practice of religions, right to a fair trial, liberty, and information. These rights are fundamental to individual liberty and a healthy democratic society.
Buffer zones create cancel culture and censorship, preventing the free assembly of citizens on public land and the exchange of ideas. They are poisonous.

There are already many powers police use to prevent a possible harassment. The police have powers of dispersal and they have power to prevent harassment and prosecution.
Buffer zone campaigning has been driven by fake news intended to mischaracterize the true nature of vigils. Under such coverage there is no incriminating evidence of harassment coming forth.
Introducing censorship zones is a mob rule in action because a pressure group censors another group they disagree with. Groups are being targeted without justification.
